New Podcast Episode: The VOCA Crisis & Call to Action
The Ring-Ring, Hello? podcast has just released a powerful new episode tackling a critical issue: the VOCA funding crisis and its impact on victim services across the nation.
For years, the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) has provided essential funding to shelters, advocacy programs, and crisis response teams—without using taxpayer dollars. But now, due to a significant decline in fund deposits, organizations like The Haven are struggling to meet the rising demand for life-saving services.
🎙️ In This Episode, We Cover:
✔️ What VOCA is and why it matters
✔️ How funding cuts are threatening victim support programs
✔️ The real-life impact on survivors and their safety
✔️ What YOU can do to help protect these critical resources
Why This Matters: Survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes are facing more severe violence than ever, yet fewer resources are available to support them. Without action, many shelters and advocacy programs could be forced to reduce services—or close entirely.
💜 How You Can Take Action:
✅ Call your representatives – Demand long-term funding solutions for VOCA.
✅ Support local shelters – Donate or volunteer to help organizations like The Haven.
✅ Spread the word – Share this podcast episode and raise awareness in your community.
✅ Attend town halls & community meetings – Advocate for survivor support services.

Is AI really ART? Online Exhibit
**Why Supporting Local Artists Matters:Building Sustainable Art Community**
An online curated experience with visually expressive messages dedicated to bringing unity and creative thinking to the viewer. Featuring musical, web design, and visual art pieces from Rebekah Greene-Lambert (@thegirlwiththeramentattoo).
"This project, in its fruition, has been as independent, as 100% me, myself, and I—and AI—as I can possibly make it.
Utilizing Adobe Express webpage creator tool, Procreate digital drawing software, Midjourney AI image generator, and everything between my two hands, INCLUDING but not limited to, multiple secondhand art textbooks featuring photocopies of classical pieces from Picasso and Matisse, and text excerpts, I have created a gentle, immersive, digitally curated experience that has philosophical undertones surpassing creative perspective. With storyline reflections of AI generated characters to give advoacy and respect to women & survivors of domestic violence in observation of National Domestic Violence Awareness month.
By the end of the experience, I want you to question how much better as a human you can be, and realize how easily obtainable that is—it begins with ‘I’ and ends with ‘you.’" - Mrs.Greene-Lambert
